JOSEPH MACHUZAK, DO
​
Dr. Joseph Machuzak graduated Cum Laude in 1995 with a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where he enjoyed his role as punter for the college’s football team, the Colonels. He then continued with his medical education with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000 from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

After working in osteopathic medicine for several years, Dr. Machuzak attended Midwestern University as a Dermatology resident, becoming an attending dermatologist in 2009.
OUR SERVICES
SKIN CANCER SCREENINGS
A total body examination is a thorough head-to-toe exam that is performed to check for any spots or irregularities on the skin. If a spot or mole looks irregular or suspicious, a biopsy will be taken for further examination and testing.
PSORIASIS
​
Psoriasis is a chronic skin condition that causes red and scaly patches on ones skin. It usually appears on a persons scalp, elbows, and knees.
SKIN TAGS
​
Skin tags are benign skin growths that appear on the skin as small, soft spots or tissue. Skin tags can be unappealing, but are not dangerous.
MOHS SURGERY
​
Mohs surgery is performed to treat skin cancer. The doctor will remove thin layers of skin that contain cancer cells, examine them, and will continue to remove them until cancer-free tissue is left.
WARTS
​
Warts are benign skin lesions that appear on ones skin after it becomes infected with a virus on the top layer of the skin.
ECZEMA
​
Eczema, or atopic dermatitis, is a rash that primarily is reddish, itchy, and is of a scaly texture.

JOSEPH MACHUZAK, DO
Dr. Joseph Machuzak graduated Cum Laude in 1995 with a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Dr. Machuzak is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and board certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology.

In October of 2013, Dr. Machuzak joined the Skin and Cancer Center of Scottsdale.
